You're engaged! Now what?
Congratulations on your engagement! Such an exciting time for you and your fiancé! You got your nails done and are showing off the bling, but now what? Here are Sweet P Beauty’s top 5 to-do’s we recommend checking off the list first. Some obvious, some not so obvious. Trust us, after you book these, you will feel so much better about the process and be on top of your list.
If you are going the route of hiring a planner, hire them first. They may have connections (or discounts) with any and all preferred vendors which will save you money, time, and sanity in the long run.
Venue! Picking the exact date first may or may not work as perfectly as you want. Have a general idea of a season, or month then pick your venue. Speaking from experience, picking a date and finding your dream venue THEN finding out they will not coincide is a little tough to swallow in the beginning of the planning process.
Find your dream photographer and/or videographer- Get referrals from planners, friends. Check their work online, meet up with them, then book. They will be around you on your big day so make sure you both vibe since you will be around them ALL DAY LONG! They will be with you in your most intimate moment as a couple and it will show in the images if anyone is not comfortable.
HIRE YOUR BEAUTY TEAM! This is often something not thought of to hire right away, or even recommended in many planning tools until 30-60 days before getting hitched. If you would like to avoid any panic, hire the team who is going to make you look your best as soon as possible. We currently have weddings on our books for next summer.
Get the dress! Make appointments at a few places and take your crew so you have honest opinions. Once you find “the dress”, it can take time to order and get alterations. Bridesmaids dresses should come shortly after.
